Here is a cute trio of vintage ceramic bisque butterfly babies. They are all approx. 2.5\" up and down and across.They are glazed in a bumpy texture that is sometimes called Salt glaze or Sugar glaze. I almost looks like bubbles on the surface. It give the babies sparkle!
Their wings are glazed and detailed with bright gold paint.Their little antennae are painted in brown above their eyes. They have the sweetest inquisitive expressions on their faces.
The yellow one looks like it was not made perfectly flat on her bottom because she has a hard time sitting up straight. She keeps wanting to fall over. A little dot of wax would fix that.
Each is marked MADE IN JAPAN on the bottom.
