Offered is a wonderful aqua/green glass apothecary/candy store counter display jar. Made by Owens Illinois Glass Co. Embossed marking on bottom with the early glass mark \"I in a circle and diamond\". To the right of the hallmark is the number \"3\". To the left of the hall mark is the number \"7\" and below the hallmark is the number \"3\". This jar is HUGE measuring approximately 15\" height, 12 1/2\" across and 6\" front to back. There is a horizontal ribbing (washboard style) running vertically down each side of the jar. The top neck of the jar has an external screw thread finish. The top neck opening measures approximately 5\" diameter. There are some tiny bubbles here and there in the glass. This jar can be displayed either standing straight or can be displayed slanted from either the right or left side. The bottom of the base is octagon in shape. There is \"NO LID\". PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE IMPRESSED MARKINGS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE GLASS BASE WHICH LOOK LIKE CRACKS. THESE ARE NOT CRACKS BUT RATHER IMPRESSIONS DONE IN MANUFACTURING. THEY ARE ON THE OUTSIDE GLASS AREA OF THE BASE AND ARE NOT ON THE INSIDE AREA OF THE JAR. Heavy, thick glass jar by Owens Illinois weighs in at 10 pounds, 12 ounces (before packaging).
