For your consideration, this Set of Tall, Footed Vintage Empire Sterling Silver Salt and Pepper Shakers. They are classically beautiful, but do show signs of age and use, a few dents and dings, so please read the description and peruse the photos carefully, as these are being sold, \"As Is\". These are NOT weighted.
Each piecemeasures approximately 4 and 3/8 inches high. From foot to bottom opposite edge, each measures just over approximately 2 and 3/4 inches across. The rounded bottoms, above the feet, measure about 2 and 1/4 inches across, and the tops are about 3/4 of an inch across.(I have included a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Marked on the bottoms, \"Sterling\", along with the pattern number, \"32\", and signed, \"Empire\". Total combined weight is approximately 100.6 grams.
This set is in very useable vintage condition, but both pieces will have all of the expected dings, creases, and scratches to the silver, from age and normal use. No monogram. No salt corrosion damage, that I could see. The lids both screw on and off nicely. This is a beautiful set,but well-loved, so but please read the description and view photos carefully, these are being sold, \"AS IS\". We have polished these, but both pieces may need further attention. Please forgive the reflections of the camera and tripod in the photographs. A very lovely, well-loved, pair of vintage Empire Sterling silver salt and pepper shakers. Tall and handsome, beautifully crafted. Sold in, \"AS IS\" condition.

The USPS has raised rates, yet again, so we\'ve had to increase shipping prices to cover the higher cost. Sorry, but there\'s nothing we can do!

Our buyers have been voting on the issue by leaving us low star ratings on shipping cost, which we simply cannot afford. So, now the shipping cost you see will include delivery confirmation only, no insurance. We just don\'t know what else to do. We encourage you to add insurance, but will make it optional. Let us know if you\'d like to add insurance before you pay, so we may add the cost to your invoice. The USPS charges anywhere from $2.10 and up, depending on the amount insured. When offered, free shipping applies within the US only.
