Great skirt for special occasions, parties, costume, German-theme events, and more. This skirt was owned by a neighbor who said her grandmother made it for her in the Black Forest of Germany. That would have been around 35 to 50 years ago. It is a very heavy woven red fabric with off-white embroidered design and off-white lace bottom. Last 2 pictures show how the skirt was constructed sewing the rows of fabric together in a circular fashion and reinforcing with red wide heavy seam tape. There is a zipper in the back with hook and eye closure. There is some faint yellowing on the two folds that would have been the edges as it was hanging over the years. It is not real noticeable but can be found on close inspection.Picture of skirt hanging on a hanger was taken in a different lighting location and is not as bright red as the skirt actually is. The skirt weighs about 1-1/2 pounds. It is very pretty and well made and is odor-free with no stains or tears.
