This is a vintage Hattie CarnegieChristmas brooch which I understand to be extremely rare and hard to find.This cute goldtonereindeer stands on top of an ornament with his tail up and his antlers held high. It measures 2 3/4\" at its tallest x 1 1/8\" at its widest. He is marked with the oval Hattie Carnegie cartouche on the back which dates his \"born\" date between 1950-1979 :) It has a swivel pin closure.IN OVERALL EXCELLENT CONDITION - further explanation needed: He has no metal wear that I can find, he is still bright and shiny with superb details; however, he is missing his rhinestone eye, a rhinestone in the bell of his collar, the red enamel of his collar (just a teeny bit still exists), andmost of the enamel on the ornament. The white of his tail is still intact.It almost looks to me as if this pin were stopped in mid-production - likeit was just never finished, because the metal is in such great shape, and there is no glue residue in the eye or the bell on the collar. Just perfectly shiny inside. Pin stem is straight, and swivel works perfectly.Found at an Estate sale in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
