For sale is one beautiful vintage oak drafting table in excellent condition. It has an unusual design that incorporates six vertical slot-style flat file drawers, three in front and three on the left side. Each drawer has its own lock, though none have keys, and one of the locks on the left side has been replaced by a wood pull. Each of the vertical file drawers has a small cubby on the very top to holdrolled-up plans/blueprints/drawings, and two of those cubbies have their original narrow wood pull-out utensil boxes. The flip-up drawing surface is made of a dark-stained maple, and in large, faint stencil lettering reads \"THE DESK\" in the middle. It also has a slight upwards warp to it that can be seen in the side view photos. It would appear the original hardware to raise and position the top is missing, and has been replaced by a simple, single adjustment wood armature, so the up position you see in the photos is the only angle it adjusts to. Other than that, the rest of the body is in beautiful condition. The center drawer does have a functional lock and key, and the steel pipe footrest is original and has the wear to show it. There is a small notch worn in the wood to the right of the center drawer. The feet have metal caps with flanged screw holes at the bottom that would allow it to be screwed or bolted to the floor.
DIMENSIONS: The body measures 33.5\" wide, 26\" deep and 39.75\" tall. The top is 37\" wide by 28\" deep. Total height with top up is 54\". The leg opening is 19\" wide, 13.25\" deep and 32.75\" tall. The footrest is 5.75\" from the front and the top sits at 10\". The legs are 7.25\" tall. Interior of center drawer is 17.5\" wide, 11\" deep, 3.5\" tall. The front vertical slots are 24.5\" deep, 24.25\" tall, 2.75\" wide. Small cubby space at top is 4.25\"tall. The side slots are 20.25\" deep (other measurements the same asfront slots). The interiors of the two pencil boxes are 14 1/8\" long, 1 7/8\" wide, 2\" tall.
