This rare vintageconvertiblecompact measures 3“ in diameter and 1/2 deep, and was made by KIGU of London forL.V.N.Hsociety inthe 1950s

The gold-plated case is enhanced with silver -foil owl underlucite lid withinscription: WISDOM & SECURITY. One-of-a-kind compact.

The lid carries the original framed glass mirror with a good reflective surface. The base is gorgeous - gold-plate in engine-turned-stardust design and is in good condition with a few tiny age dots. The powder well contains its original KIGU insert indicating that this compact is convertible for loose and solid powders with thedescription :

“KIGU PLUS” Sifter is Washable, Hygienic and of Lasting Quality

The sifter is made of a white lucite and the puff is inscribed with KUGU of London and is present, however the button part of the puff has been deteriorated from age and was discarded. The compact has a strong hinge and a positive closure and closes with a snap-sound.

The compact is in good working order and comes in its original KIGU box with KIGU label that reads:

IKIGU 70 100 6C.

This compact will be professionally packed and mailed viaUSPS.
