REVERE Westminster Chime a Clock.......Is self starting model R-939 and made in USA by Revere Clock Co. Cinn. OH and the motor by Warren Telechron.This 1940\'s 50\'s? Clock keeps perfect time! You can turn on or off the chime function by moving the lever up/down inside the back door. Beautiful chime on the every 15 min and hour.Excellent condition and great mid century styling with simple pedestal feet and oval face. The old wood has beautiful grain detail and may be mahogany or possibly walnut?Instructions still on inside of back door.Interesting info:The Westminster Chimes are the same notes first used
on the clock in the University Church tower of St. Mary
Cambridge, England, and in 1859, selected for the
Victoria Clock Tower in the House of Parliament in London.
There, the hour is still struck on the famous old bell, \"Big Ben\",
after the four famous phrases have been played on the
smaller bells. The music was inspired by a phrase from
Handel\'s symphony, \"I Know That My Redeemer Liveth\", and
