oldcaraccessories

Probably the largest collection of 30s-70s classic car accessories in the world (10,000 of em!). I am not allowed to link to my site but my ID gives you a BIG clue -Google\"oldcaraccessories\"(one word and quotes).

PLEASE SEE MY OTHER ITEMS - I HAVE OVER 100 ITEMS LISTED
IN BOTH sale AND BUY-IT-NOW FORMATS.

Insured and tracked airmail shipping fromENGLAND or FRANCE(I move regularly between the two but the service is the same from each) to anywhere in the world for $17.50. I mail all my itemspromptly and transit time is usually 1-2 weeks, but it can take abit longer if the customs hitit...

PLEASE NOTE: These are 12-inch blades - the one side of the box that I forgot to take a picture of is the end where it says that! In practice this means that they will fit virtually all 40s, 50s or 60s cars as long as the wiper arm has the right fitting (and those are easy to get). If you have 10-inch wipers these will fit as long as your stock blades are at least 1 inch from the top of the screen (don\'t forget that they are 1 inch longer AT EACH END than 10-inch ones!). Similarly, if you have 14-inch blades they are only 1 inch shorter at each end. So as you can see, that gives a really wide spread of sizes that they would fit, because you\'d probably be O.K. from about 8 inches up to about 16 inches (because even those would only be 2 inches different at each end), and that covers virtually all cars on the road from that era. If in doubt measure the distance from the point where the wiper blade attaches to the arm, when the arm is in the vertical position (or where it goes nearest to the screen edge), and that distance needs to be at least 6 inches.

You attach the two small rubber pipes that come out of the end of the wiper arms, to the jets on the car (a pair of replacement screw-in jets are provided, to put the rubber pipes onto). If your car does not have washers fitted those are very easy to find - many people are selling washer setup kits. And hey presto - you have wiper arms that also function as washers, because the water comes out of the blade. The reason I am completely amazed about this is because I remember when these were (supposedly) \'invented\', by the European Manufacturer Citroën, on the 1984 BX... only that wasn\'t when they were invented at all - they had been around for about 30 years already by then.So grab yourself a piece of motoring history, for a bargain price. The box is in nice shape, with just a little aount of creasing from long storge, and the blades are unused, although they are covered with that powdery residue that often gathers on old rubber (it might be the remains of some talc that they were covered in whe they were new, like they do with tire inner tubes). I am sure that will wash off though, and the blade holders are stainless steel so they are mint.Any questions, please ask. And if you are in doubt about whether the fitting would fit your wiper arms, I have done several close-ups - but as I said, these are easy to change anyway.I think that\'s about all - please look at my close-up pictures of these amazing and rare items to confirm you are happy with their condition. Thanks for looking at my sale - any questions, please ask. Cheers - Alan
