Triangular Hand Carved Hand Painted Wood Totem
Northwestern Indian Style

Wood is stained dark, then painted in colors of dark burgundy red, dark teal blue and gold. Totem shows seated male figure with folded hands. Over his head (or perhaps on his head) is what appears to be a wild looking horse effigy with a cross-hatched mane.
Viewed from the side, totem is slightly curved backward. Any flaws in the carving appear to have been a function of the carving, so I would rate this as excellent to near mint. The age of this totem is unknown, but I suspect this has been carved to be sold as a souvenir. It is not signed or marked.
The colors, triangular style and accents of gold will create a very dramatic statement on a shelf or in a collection.
