Vtg Navajo Tommy Singer sterling watch cuff with chip inlay Kachina & Corn Stalk:
$259.00

Up for sale is this very rare and old 1\" wide Tommy Singer hallmarked watch cuff. This cuff is in fabulous condition with no Turquoise or coral pieces missing. One side features a kachina dancer and the other side has a stalk of corn. It measures 5.5\" plus a 1 1/4\" gap for a total wrist size of 6 3/4\". It weighs 70 grams with the non working fossil watch. I do not know the problem with the watch ....may need a battery or something else but the value of course is in the cuff itself.

With the untimely passing of Tommy Singer, his pieces are now commanding high dollar.

This artwork is preowned but in great shape. Tommy Singer (born 1940) is a Navajo silversmith who specialized in chip-inlay jewelry. His inlaid turquoise, coral, and silver pieces incorporated traditional Navajo designs. Singer gained acclaim as the originator of the chip inlay design which he developed in the 1970s. Singer was a member of the Navajo Nation from Winslow, Arizona. He perfected his craft working on the Navajo reservation in a small studio surrounded with his family and other tribal members. He grew up on the Navajo Reservation and was taught silversmithing by his father, beginning at the age of seven.

In the 1960s he invented the \"chip-inlay\" technique of using turquoise or coral chips in this silverwork.
