This is a rare vintage Wm. Maddux piece of decorative pottery. It is a cockatoo or parrot (not sure). Bird is yellow and white with pink shading around eyes. He is sitting on a tree limb/stump and there is a dainty flower in center with leaves. There is only one small chip on piece that I can find. It is very small on the top edge of one leaf (pic shown). It is 11\" tall. Wing span is 10 1/2\" wide. The glaze on this piece shows some crazing. It is a great estate find. I was told by the owners that they had owned it from the 50\'s, but it was probably made in the 1940\'s.
