For sale is an original vintagephoto that shows a group of telephone operators working at their switchboards. I believe it was taken in Washington, Indiana, as it was purchased from the estate of a woman who worked there. The image measures 5 by 7 inches. The women are identified on the back. Their names are: Helen Wainman, Hilda Sponn, Geraldine McClellan, Hazel Gromer and Mary A. Baker.The \'39 that\'s written in the lower right margin suggests the photo dates to1939. Itis in very good condition, andis extremely rare. It would make a wonderfull addition to anyone who collects Washington or telephone-related memorabilia.
