VINTAGE SILEX (?) RIBBED GLASS TOP AND SEAL FOR VACUUM/SIPHON COFFEE MAKER/PERCOLATORP-251 CIRCA 30\'SThis is very solid ribbed Glass Top and Seal for a Vaccum Coffee Maker. I looked up its patent number 2032317 and was only able to find information on 2032317B filed by H. Frank a lawyer, the inventor and assignor to the Silex company in 1936. I\'m assuming this is a related Silex product evenso. I\'m guessing the B version may have been for the improved Top/Seal but not sure. I cannot find another on the gallery or on line.
So this top is probably over 80 years old. It is in good condition for its age. There are some scratches and a few rubs. The is a letter U embedded in the glass along with the # P-251 embossed on the rubber. Itis 10\" tall, 6 1/4\" in diameter and seal is 3\" in diameter.
A great piece of art from the past and one which I think is quite valuable and usable still.
