This is a gorgeous and rare genuine signed Sermel Tonala Jal Mex paper mache lion table base. It is in excellent overall condition but does have some small chips on his claws and along the bottom edge of his mane where it meets the floor and a small area of repainted repair on the white part of his nose. There are some stress cracks in the crotch area and in the leg joint area where it meets the body. It is strong and stable however. There is also a dime size chip on the underside of the biomorphic beveled glass table edge near his right ear. Otherwise this is an extraordinary and magnificent table. The colors are strong and the painted face and accents are excellent. Because of the size, this will be sent freight. Pick up or courier is also possible. Please inquire on costs. If you would like to arrange for your own transportation, that is fine as well. The cat measures 48\" diagonal from his left ear to his right paw and 36\" across his rear legs. The table stands 14.5\" and is a little bigger than the cat. Thank you!
