Vintage brass, bronze or copper St. Christopher medal charm.

St. Christopher was/is considered the patron saint of travelers in the Catholic church. This small metal charm measures approximately 1\" across and has a small loop attached at top for hanging. All the photographs above are of the same medal, with the first two photos taken in bright sunlight to show detail. Color of medal is closer to what you see in last photos. Do not know metal content, but know it has to have some copper, since green patina is evident on both front and back of medal.

Metal charm shows St. Christopher with staff, baby Jesus and some of the Zodiac signs on one side, and 1920s vintage convertible automobile with passengers and church inbackground on the reverse side. Believe this medal dates from the 1920s and is within years of becoming an antique. Please see photographs for condition of medal.
