Here is a very elegant, detailed demitasse spoon with incredible design. The bowl of the spoon is a very detailed vein leaf on both front and back. The handle is a vine that trails down the stem with a beetle at the top and a flower half way down. Attached to the top of the spoon is a dangle with Amsterdam engraved on it. On the front half way down the stem is a hallmark that looks (in my opinion) to be a single sword mark used 1814-1905 (check out the last photo). There is no sterling stamp but the spoon has been tested sterling silver. The spoon measures 4 1/4\" in length and weighs 12.9 grams. This gorgeous spoon is from my personal family collection. My mother started collecting these spoons in the late 50s to early 60s. She collected them from every antique store she could find all over the country. This one as is all of the collection I will be listing is in excellent shape. The spoons in this collection have been stored in a silver storage bag for 15 years.
