This is a Made in England Salad Dressing Crock.It says H.Dickson, Hats Caps & Furs along the front; along with No. 60 State Street, Albany.It has an illustration of a man fitting a customer with a hat.Above that is a zig zag decoration.This Stoneware Crock is in like new condition for something so old, even cork is in terrific condition . I have never removed the cork. But the cork is in wine bottle condition.The Crock was made in England.This crock is six and a half inches tall with cork in. It is quite heavy,The bottom has a piece of red felt on it, that i believe the former owner glued on it so it would not damage furniture or display case but it can be easily washed off. I know this because the crock had so much dust on it i had to rinse it off before displaying it for a photo, and i could feel the felt softening.This truly is a vintage item in Excellent condition and hard to find because it is not a reproduction, it is original.This crock weighs over a pound, since the cork has not been removed i don\'t know if it is empty or not.
