$199.95

Frank Whiting sterling silver Child\'s Cup featuring a brite-cut border on top and bottom. This piece is marked #113E.

Material: Sterling Silver.

Date of manufacture: Estimate 1866-1904.

Place of Manufacture: North Attleboro, Massachusetts or New York, USA.

The measurement for this piece is 3 1/4\" tall x 2 3/4\" wide. It weighs 4.06 oz. It is monogrammed and is in as-found condition.

The Monogram inscribed on the cup is in cursive and reads: C.A. Wilson.

Condition. The cup is in tarnished original condition, inside and out. I have not cleaned or polished the cup. It is an Estate sale find and the previous owner had used it as a measuring cup in her flour container. It has two small dents on the side near the monogram. The cup opening is slightly out-of-round, meaning it is not perfectly round around the rim. It has two tiny nicks on the cup lip and a few along the bottom edge.

Quality: the cup is very well made. It is a sturdy piece and the handle is solidly attached. It looks like Lilly’s of the Valley flowers embossed on the handle.

It has intricate designs and etchings around the outside edges of the top and bottom of the cup. The images are still clean and crisp. They are also flower designs.

Silver-maker Trademark:

The capital letter W is in a circle and is front of a lion facing to the left. This trademark was used by Whiting from 1865-1904, which helps to date this piece of silver.

The word STERLING is on the second line.

The third line are the numbers 113.

The fourth line is the letter E.
