W.R. Humphreys & Co. Haddon Brand Sheffield England c. 1890\'s silver-plate cutlery set.
A wonderful find! Needs some cleaning but otherwise in perfect condition. Mother of pearl handles are firm and sturdy. Stunning silver-plate engraved set of 5 forks and 5 knives in a Royal Blue satin lined english oak box with brass crest (not yet engraved). Box does have a crack (see pic) however nothing that affects use. Box measures 12\" long x 9\" deep x 2 1/4\" high.
Knives measure 7 3/4\" long x 3/4\" high.Forks measure 6 1/4\" long x 3/4\" high.One of two identical sets listed. The only difference is that the other box is in perfect condition.
Very fine set. Both sets were obtained from a farm estate in the same family since 1840\'s.
