This item is a beautiful set of 24 Wade England Nursery Rhyme Figurines. The figurines were not sold commercially, but were produced by Wade as promotions for the Red Rose Tea Co. and distributed in Canada from 1971 to 1979. All the figurines are mold marked \"WADE ENGLAND\" around the base, with the exception of: HUMPTY DUMPTY, marked \"WADE ENGLAND\" vertically on the back, HICKORY DICKORY DOCK, marked \"WADE\" on the front of the base and \"ENGLAND\" on the back of the base, PUSS IN BOOTS, marked \"WADE ENGLAND\"on the front of the base,and THE CAT AND THE FIDDLE is only marked \"ENGLAND\" on the back of the base. Some of the mold marks are more clearly defined than othersdepending on the age wear of the individual molds. They all have fine parallel molded ridges on the bottom of the base, some more pronounced than others. They range in size from 1 1/8\" - 1 3/4\" high and 7/8\" - 1 3/4\" wide. The set consists of: The Gingerbread Man, The three Bears, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Goosey Gander, Puss in Boots, The Cat and The Fiddle, Humpty Dumpty, Hickory Dickory Dock, Dr. Foster, The Queen of Hearts, Wee Willie Winkie, The Pied Piper, Little Red Riding Hood, The House That Jack Built, Little Boy Blue, Little Jack Horner, Old King Cole, Little Bo Peep, Tom The Piper\'s Son, Jill, Little Miss Muffet, Jack, Mother Goose, and The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe. I have picked avery nice example of each figurine to make upa nice set and they are all in excellent condition and have no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. Occasionally someone marks the bottom of a figurine, but this does not detract from the beauty of the figurine. See photos.
