In 1952, NEWSDAY. theLong Island,

New York newspaper, endorsed Eisenhower

for President of the United States over

Adlai Stevenson. The endorsement was

front page news and Eisenhowersupporters

were ecstatic. To commemorate the

newspaper\'s choice, a small number of

buttons weremade. Thisitem was

secured from a member of the

staff, at that time, and put in storage

until now. The button is in near mint condition

with minimal rust on the metal back
