This is an EARLY ORIGINAL ANTIQUE WHITING & DAVIS, made in the roaring, Great Gatsby era of the early 1920\'s...The unbelievable and intricate steel micro-mesh of this beautiful antique bag, is delicate, gorgeous and collectible Whiting & Davis and more bronze than gold. This is their PRINCESS MARY line, with small carved/embossed tab-shield, that will center on thefront, though has come loose but accompanies the bag and placed in the interior - It\'s simply to die for! It is no wonder that this line, is hung in the headquarters of the Whiting & Davis\' design room and used as a classic reminder of their revolutionary, coveted signature purses. The subtle and patinated matte of the micro-mesh is met with an angular fold-over frame, notched bottom with long tassel fringe. A gorgeous chain strap is a sophisticated antique touch. The chainamille has small single area by the uppertop side below the frame, with a tiny tear, but for a piece of this pedigree and age, it\'s typical. The inside of the bag is stamped, “Whiting & Davis Co.” and “Princess Mary” and it\'s a fabulous piece of fashion history.
The total length is 13\" to the bottom of the fringe; 7\" with a strap drop of 6\"
Top Width is 4\" and the base is about 5.25\", laid flat.
