We recently headed up into the mountains to visit one of our favorite tree spirit areas. This tree spirit carving is from a very old, fallen fir tree that we collected on the forested slopes of Mt. Rainier in Washington state.

This carving is a very nice piece from an old, fallen moss-covered tree, measuring about 12-inches long by about 2-inches wide across the face and weighs about one pound. It is a maximum of 4-inches wide above (hat) and below the face (beard). The pictures showing my hand provides some scale to this carving.

It has a pre-drilled hole for wall-mounting and is initialled and dated. The back of the carving has been sanded to mount flush against a wall. It has been burned to provide highlights, and has a semi-gloss polyurethane finish. Please contact us if you have any questions, or desire additional information.
