——The Basics for All of My CGC sales——
This comic and many others that I have up for offers on right now were professionally graded in 2017 by CGC, the most authoritative, trusted and outrageously expensive grading company used by comic-book collectors and dealers. As with all CGC-graded comics, this comes \"slabbed\" within a tamper-proof heavy plastic case. (Note: Apparently nearly all CGC cases can have at least a few \"rainbow effects\" in the plastic that are called Newton Rings, which may not show up in photos but are visible when the case is turned back and forth.) The case includes the CGC grade number at top left and the company\'s holographic seal at top right. I have covered the CGC serial numbers and bar codes in all of my sale photos to prevent counterfeiting that info (such as when more than one crooked seller tried to pass of their copies of Hulk 181 as the copy I was selling a few years ago).Please excuse the reflections in the sale pix. Photographing the CGC cases without reflections and glare is just about impossible!——Description of This Comic——
This is the landmark and collectible WOLVERINE # 4, from the four-issue Marvel Comics limited series that was the X-Men character\'s first solo series. Written by Chris Claremont, art by Frank Miller. This beautiful copy is CGC grade 9.4 (which I think you will agree when you see it is an insanely low grade for a comic that looks this good). I am the first and only owner of this comic. I bought it brand new nearly 35 years ago and put it in a bag until sending it to CGC in May 2017. Seriously, this is the bargain of the century, because this copy looks like it should have gotten at least the 9.8 grade I was expecting when I mailed it away to CGC.
