Let’s just say this, the 1850 60s era in cherry have not had one, any finer than this one, the last 10 yrs +. This is absolutely fantastic, and had been in one family since the day it was made, out of the central Ohio area. When you find one of these, the glass panes are usually replaced. THIS ONE HAS THE ORIGINAL WAVY OLD AND BUBBLE PANES OF GLASS !! This has square nails through out, this of course shows the age, and no circular saw marks. The boards are all hand cut. Usually when you find a corner cabinet, the hinges have been moved, this one has the original hinges, and they have never been relocated. Two other great things, this has the original cast iron latches with porcelain knobs, and let’s don’t forget the wonderful scroll cut out pie area and tall scrolled cut out foot area. HERE AGAIN THIS IS SOLID CHERRY, EVEN THE BACK IS 100 % SOLID CHERRY!!! However, the hand dove tailed drawer with bevel front and the two bevel cut side panels are walnut. Yes, this is original to mix and highlight a fine cabinet like this. This two piece cabinet is 86in tall or 7ft 2in. From side to side at the top, it is 53 1/2in wide. When sitting this in a corner, for clearance, from the corner to a door jam or a window, you will need 38in. The top two doors with the 6 panes of glass, are 19in wide and 36in tall. Each panel of glass is 14in wide x 10in tall. Inside for storage, top and bottom, it is 50in wide, and at center, it is `17 1/2in front to back. The pie shelf area is approx. 7in tall and the feet is approx. the same. THERE HAS BEEN NOTHING CUT OFF THE FEET TO SHORTEN THIS PARTICULAR CABINET. The dove tailed drawer is 17 1/2in wide, 15in front to back and 3in deep. The two bottom doors, are 19in wide and 23in tall. The doors are cut and beveled on the back side, like you’ll see in all early furniture.
