A superb antique Georgian English, solid 9 carat gold (tests at least 9 carat) cameo locket pendant.It\'s set with a terrific molded glass cameo within a reverse-beveled surround, depicting Cupid with a stuck arrow (symbolizing love and its resilience). To the back is a rounded glazed locket compartment, hinged for easy access and it\'s complete with its original four-drop chain pendant suspender.It dates from around1800/20 and isinexcellent, fully wearablecondition throughout, with a couple of tiny, barely significant dents to the mount but no loss or other damage. It weighs8.0 grams and measures2 x 1 ¼inches total drop. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coinfor scale, which measures19mm/ ¾ of an inchdiameter.
