This sale is for a WONDERFUL Biltmore Industries FOLK ART Hand Carved WOODEN SQUIRREL MATCHES SAFE. This most certainly was done on the premises of the BILTMORE MANSION GROUNDS in probably the 1930\'s or 40\'s as a tourist piece. This little fellow is chewing on an acorn. His earsare challenged and nearly gone, please see the photos. It measures about 5\'\' long including the tail.
The industries began in Biltmore Village with 12 young men and four years later, by 1905, had grown to 20 young men and women.PLEASE REVIEW THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY PRIOR TO offerDING.
