Jack Larned
1920–

Jack Larned was born in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, and studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris, the Academie Grand Chaumiere, Paris, Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia, the Asia Institute, and the Art Students League in New York. A student of Hans Hoffman, he painted in the Abstract Expressionist style. He and his wife Eleni divided their time between New York and Wellfleet, and settled permanently in Wellfleet in their later years.
Records at the Provincetown Art Association show that he had major exhibitions at the Rhode Island School of Design, the Boris Mirski Gallery, Boston, Bloomsburg State College, the East End Gallery, Provincetown, and the Provincetown Art Association.
