You are offerding on one genuine antique violet ray generator manufactured by Renulife. It was tested today and is in PERFECT WORKING ORDER. Metal plate inside unit reads \"Model: M; No. 70753; Volts: 110; Watts: 30; Patent Sept 30, 1919\". This unit came from a recent estate sale in Sandwich, New Hampshire. The power cord is about 5 feet long. The other cord which has the cylindrical 8\" x 1.5\" Bakelite phallic-shaped wand into which the glass and metal electrodes are inserted is about 6 feet long including the wand. The electrical cords are 100% intact. The wooden panel and violet/ purple lining have original patina (dust) and are in excellent condition. What appears to be leather covering the exterior of the case is in good condition with some scuffing. Some uses for this unit: 1) Electrotherapy; 2) science teaching/ experimentation/ demonstration (e.g., in a unit on Nikola Tesla); 3) medical quackery museum or collection; and 4) even as a BDSM/ kink/ fetish instrument (100-year-old aura, anyone?). One of the 5 electrodes (the glass/ metal attachments) appears to have been used (discolored) but still works. The manual (not included; see below) lists tooth/ gum, eye, ear, nasal, scalp and even anal/ rectal and vaginal probes among the available electrodes! These were not inexpensive when new, selling for 50 to 75 dollars for the set and 2 to 9 dollars for probes...almost 100 years ago!
