One of the coolest things I\'ve ever seen from an estate in Ohio......World War I camouFlage helmet with liner.......what\'s so cool about this is the owner/wearer of this helmet took various colors of asphalt roofing shingles.....cut them up in various designs...probably heated them up and then glued them to the top of the helmet......it appears that a former owner many years later added a light coating of varnish to the top to keep the rust away......some of the shingles shapes are missing, which I would expect from a helmet nearly 100 years old.....inside is also cool....the leather chin strap is missing but the ends that attach to the liner are still there, as is the heavy top pad, the webbing and the flexible bales on both sides.....the shingles look period correct in respect to the deep color scheme......inside the liner is the stamp \"L.C.C & Co, 1918.......opening offer is reasonable with a buy it now.....payment within 24 hours.....shipping is USPS......it will be very well packed......I ship immediately upon receiving your payment..see my other sales for more cool World War I items........thanks for looking.
