This WW1 Beaded Pincushion, or Sweetheart pillow is just wonderful. Glass beads are used throughout the pillow, with various little panels. One has a tiny Think of Me poem, one with the Flags of the Allies, and the best one of a little house with birds, the motto \"To my lovely Wife\". A little padlock at the top that symbolizes undying love.
These pillows were kits that wounded or convalescing sailors made to pass the time to send home to loved ones.
The colors are nice, with normal wear and age for a piece of this circa. Free of odors. Just a great piece.
