Soldier Initial on back Original Worn WWI.This is an Issued, Used, WW1 Messkit M1910 Meat Can U.S. Rock Island Arsenal 1917 Soldier Initialon back. Original Worn Well marked. Original WW1 Condition Shows Use and Wear. Aluminum Body & Top. Tinplated Folding Steel Handle.The handle is dark, shows scratches and wear. and most of the finish is gone. It it not very pitted as many are. Scratched Initials E. on Bottom. They were also issued during early WW2 until production caught up and they were replaced with the M1936 Meatcan. It shows age, wear and marks consistent with a 100 Year Old piece of field gear. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET.
