Calling all re-enactors and collectors of WWII Militaria! You are offerding on anIMMACULATE M-1939 Roll Collar Melton Wool Overcoat, size 38 Regular. Date of manufacture was 14 Nov 1942. It was issued to an enlisted man in the U.S. Army Air Corps. I don\'t know if he ever wore it, but it sure doesn\'t look like it. There is absolutely NO mothing, holes, or tears. There is a very small stain on the inside lining of left pocket (see detail photo) but is otherwise pristine. Every original button is present and in perfect condition. It is partially lined with cotton twill through the sleeves and upper body. The pockets allow for access to the wearer\'s trouser front pockets. The \"roll collar\" can be flipped up and buttoned at the throat.The long rear vent closes with buttons for maximum warmth (there is a button low on the front for the same purpose)or unbuttons for ventilation and greater freedom of movement- like when chasing Krauts through the woods or dames through the streets of London. This overcoat weighs in at 6.5lbs!! I wear a 41R suit, and this coat fits me fine. It is slightly snug when I wear my Class A 4-Pocket Tunic under it. I have personally owned this coat for 32 years and must thin out my collection for lack of space.
