You are offerdingon 1x vintage WW2 Era British Military Note issued for use in Tripolitania –North Africa, Sicily & Greece:

GREAT BRITAIN /BRITISH MILITARY AUTHORITY – 1 Pound [ND-1943, M6] Lion oncrown device. The note is circulated, moderate to heavy edge wear and nicks +micro-tears + 1.5mm “v” shaped tiny tear / border chip at right border nearlower right corner + 1x 1.5mm tear bottom border at commencement of vertical creaselines at ctr. no holes, staining, note has lost the majority of its originalcrispness but is not totally limp. FACTOID: British Military Notes were first issuedfor the invasion of Tripolitania (North Africa) in the spring of 1943. The useof British military authority notes in Libya was unsuccessful, and the armyissues for Tripolitania replaced them. Later, British Military Authority noteswere used in the landing on Sicily in July 1943 and subsequently on mainlandItaly. After the British landed in Greece (October 1944) BMA notes were putinto use at the request of the Greek government. An American militaryorganization in Greece also used the currency.
