for Army Unteroffizier Karl Wirth, Grenadier Regiment.

Was awarded the Iron Cross 1st Class, Iron Cross 2nd Class and other bravery medals.

Participated in the campaigns in Poland, France, the Balkans, Russia.

Killed 17 August 1943, south of Isjum. He was 30.

Nice uniform photo as an NCO wearing the Iron Cross ribbon.

Double page single sided card measures about 4.5 x 6 inches. Back of card has helmet and cross.

Excellent condition.


Includes a German Graves Office slip listing him as being killed at an altitude of 185, south of Isjum and buried in Charkow, Ukraine.
