WW2 US Army Paratrooper M1 Carbine Jump Holster Scabbard Bag 1944 Dated AIRBORNE:

This is a World War 2 paratroopers jump holster (bag, scabbard, case, etc.) for an M1 carbine.
It is 27\" long, and about 9.5\" wide at the widest part. Dark green in color, with \"U.S.\" stamped on the flap. Underside of flap is stamped \"CARTER BROS. INC. 1944\". It is still very solid and clean - no holes, tears, stains or odors. There is some light dust from storage but this would brush off easily.
The backside has a large, wide belt loop near the top, and there is a smaller loop in the upper right corner (maybe for a dummy cord?). The back is padded on the inside all the way to the bottom.
There is some tattered stitching/thread ends on the front side at the bottom, which looks like where a strap or loop was removed. However, this does not affect the stitching of the holster itself - it is still solid.
This holster does not appear to have been used, or if it was, very little. It is very clean and solid for something made in 1944!
