A perfect Princess Mary box from Christmas 1914. Sent to British soldier's inFrance for Christmas. the box portrays Princess Mary (not her Mother Queen Mary), the eldest sister of future King George VI and Aunt of Queen Elizabeth II. the ot includes the original photograph that would have been included in the box along with cigarettes and a Christmas card among other favors. Highly collectible piece in excellent condition. Includes an article describing the box and a clipping from a Nieman-Marcus Christmas catalogue in which the box was listed for $135.00 Can't remember the year of that catalogue.
