Up for sale is aWWI Era US Army M1902 Artillery Knapsack or Haversack Pack. This is the early Khakicolor canvas with leather straps.. It is marked:Rock Island Arsenal 1910on the inside. TheKnapsack is complete with allof theleather straps andbuckles.No rips or tears. Isee no real evidence of prior usage, probably in unissued codition excepting for storagewear. See photo\'s for condition.

The artillery knapsack has changed very little from the original Civil War Era Design. The 1902 version is made in Khaki canvas with russet leather straps. It consists of two pouches 12x14x4 inches joined together with a pair of long leather straps and a handle. The straps are long enough to add an overcoat or bedroll or to act as a set of shoulder straps in an emergency.

This is a necesaryitem for any WWIIField Gear Collection.
