WWI US MODEL 1917 BOLO KNIFE PLUMB 1918 WITH ORIGINAL BAUER BROS. SCABBARD.

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL WWI MODEL 1917 BOLO KNIFE WHICH WHICH IS VERY CLEAN AND HAS GREAT MARKINGS. THE BLADE IS HAS NO RUST AND THE BLADE EDGES IS STRAIGHT. AT THE BASE IT IS MARKED PLUMB ST. LOUIS 1918 ON THE ONE SIDE WHICH IS CLEARLY MARKED. ON THE OTHER SIDE IT IS MARKED US MOD 1917 ABOVE THE CROSS GUARD. THE WOOD GRIPS ARE STILL SECURED BY THE ORIGINAL SCREWS AND IT IS CLEAN FOR THE AGE. THE BEST PART IS THE ORIGINAL SCABBARD WHICH IS EVEN RARER THEN THE KNIFE. THIS CANVAS AND LEATHER SCABBARD WAS MADE BY THE BAUER BROTHERS AND IT IS MARKED ON THE TIP. ONE OF THE NICEST WWI BOLO KNIVES WE HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME AND WOULD MAKE A GREAT ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION!!
