What an amazing lot of WWI (and prior -civil war?) buttons. These are a variety, many say Extra Fein. I am not an expert on Military items, but through research it appears there is a German Army soldier regiment button (the button showing the 1), a Germany Prussian 8th regiment button (the button with the figure 8 symbol), a button that says on the back \"E.M. Boyer & Fils Paris\"-french foreignlegionperhaps?, an Imperial German collar rank button (the crown with 5 points), the Prussian crown is embossedon one by itself and another with an eagle inside of a shield. One of the eagle buttons says 1909 Extra Fein on the back, another has an item it is holding in each talon, the other I can only make out the Peyer on the back of the button. One of the solid copper colored buttons (the larger) has a W.R. on the back side, and the smaller says extra fein with 3 stars. There are 2 buttons one silver and the other copper colored with crossed guns (appears to be muskets) both says extra fein on the back side. There is a very old fragile German army button that has a red center and ribbed edge. A small German navy button with an anchor and a tarnished/patina silver colored button that says extra fein on the back. These are from an estate sale and the above information is my best attempt at describing each button, please note again that I am not an expert and am selling this lot as is- this sale should be based on your expertise and close inspection of the photos.
