Here you have a set of regulation issue, sterling, World War II Army Air Corps Pilot Wings. The large, 3 inch size Jacket and Tunic Wings are embossed sterling with the desired pin back device. This set of wings are yet another variation of the regulation issue insignia. The Air Corps and Army Air Forces Pilot Wings are in a good to excellent condition and at least 72 years old.

Background: Pilots for the Army Air Forces flew bombers, transport aircraft and fighter planes. Bomber and transport copilots would have worn the identical insignia, they just sat in a different seat than the pilot. The Wingswould make a nice addition to a World War II Army Air Forces Presentation.
