WWII Letter 1943 Officer And A Lady Silver Star 51st Fighter Group WW2 WW II VTG:

original World War Two letter including the cover written by a Lt. Bixby who was in the 51st Fighter Group. In the letter he says a person received the Silver Star medal. The cover is postmarked 1943. I currently have other letters listed that were written by this person. The letter reads:

Dear Lib

Just received your letter announcing that you were about to become an officer and a lady.............McClung and I have been recommended for the DFC for showing every day and McClung has received the Silver Star for blowing hell out of bridges and stuff.............Bix
