Hi Buddy! WWII Soldier Bisque Pottery Planter
Made by Morton Pottery between 1941-1945.
Pot is unmarked, but listed on page 243 of \"Morton Pottery\" by Doris & Burdell Hall.
Before there was the \"Chia Pet\", there was this planter. Designed to have grass seed paste applied to the head to grow for hair. Hole in top of his hat allows for watering.
Good vintage condition due to age and use. No cracks, but small chip on bottom.
Reads \"Hi Buddy!\" on back of neck. Stands 6 3/4\" tall.
Rare, unique, and very cool.
