The leather has darkened with age, it still retains that richrusset brown color. The leather is soft and flexible,no cracks or crazing in the leather. It is NOT oil soaked. All of the stiching is intact and not fraying. The internal leather block is present. The holster is marked:USBoyt -42-. The markings areclear and readable. NiceUS Marking on theflap.This is a nice WWII USHolster.
