WWII U.S. M3 Blade Marked and Dated, Fighting Knife Edged \'US M3 1943\' with ScabbardScabbard Is Marked US M8 BM COThe knife has age related dark patina, slight sharpening and wear, overall good condition. The leather washer handle rates very good with very minimal wear and tear. The blade measures 6 9/16\" long. This item was listed 7/21/2014 at 5pm PST, and within 1 hour I have had several inquiries on any markings on the knife between blade and cross bar. I would like to include this in the listing.
There are none that I can observe. One inquirer has offered his opinion, perhaps expertise suggesting the knife is a reproduction, but the sheath is original. I am no expert, but I want to be as accurate as I can be, given the fact that I know very little about WWII weaponry. Please Note: Scabbard has a broken tip (see pic) and snap button inside piece is missing. Overall condition fair.
