This pin is in good condition - I have not tried to polish it - marked sterling on the back. As you can see, there is dark pink nail polish on part of the back. Whether this is original to the pin, I do not know - I like to think it belongs to the pilots wife/sweetheart and it was his way of remembering her while on a mission. The pin measures 3\" wide.
