Up for sale a Wallace sterling silver 4.5\" souvenir spoon for Fort Kent, Maine. Fort Kent 1839 (the date of the founding of Fort Kent) is engraved on the stem on the spoon. Engraved in the gold wash bowl is the blockhouse which was the first structure erected in Fort Kent when it was founded as a border town. The spoon weighs .33 ounces and it is marked on the reverse with the Wallace mark consisting of the deer head R W & S plus sterling.
