Real Transparency

A “transparent” fountain pen is also called “demonstrator” or “clear”. The name says it all. The most important factor of a transparent pen is how transparent it is.

The body of the fountain pen is made from Acrylic, a rare material in fountain pen industry. Our production focuses making the thinnest and clearest Acrylic layer with the best transparency. Then, Acrylic has to be reinforced in order to maintain the protection for the pen body with all of these below features:

\"Double Compact\" Mechanism

During your busy life, sometimes you just got some spare time. You grab your pen and want to write some things. That’s when you find out that your pen cannot write because the ink has dried up inside. We, at Wancher, simply want to bring fountain pens to people who love writing. For more than 20 years, we have observed the obstacles that worldwide fountain pens lovers have had with fountain pens.

One of the many obstacles that fountain pen users face in using fountain pen is no other but simply ink drying out problem caused by moisture evaporation. If a pen is not used for a long time or not sealed properly with the cap, it may result in dried up ink or even the deterioration in the quality of nib if the amount of dried ink is too much.

Our research shows that the evaporation may come from not only one spot, which is the “cap”, but also from one more spot, which is the “ring”.

Therefore, our “Double Compact’’ mechanism is born.

\"Double Compact\" mechanism features a spring airtight inner cap and an airtight rubber ring. The mechanism makes the fountain pen compact and fully sealed at both cap and ring. The feature guarantees to prevent ink drying out problem and delivers the best ink flow whenever you need it.

How to enjoy “Double Compact” mechanism: Simply push the barrel into the cap, wind the barrel clockwise until it is tight. That’s it. Now, you can enjoy your fountain pen with no worry of dried-up ink and ink flow.

EYE DROPPER VS CONVERTER / CARTRIDGE REFILL MECHANISM

Ideas and inspirations come suddenly. We have to grab them, and write them down as soon as we can. However, have you ever got distracted or interrupted during your writing because your pen asks for another ink refill.

We do not want it to happen to our dear customers. That’s why Eye Dropper mechanism is integrated in Crystal collection.

Besides standard ink refill system as cartridge and converter, Crystal fountain pen brings to you one special option for your preferences.

Writes for a longer period than cartridge & converter

No need for converters or cartridges, the whole barrel is full of ink. It’s easy to clean out the barrel when you want to change ink colors or want to store your fountain pen. Especially transparent pens with colorful ink is fun to use!

Eyedropper fillers have no internal filling mechanism of their own and opens by unscrewing the section, after which the barrel is filled with ink using a rubber and glass eyedropper.

Leakage at the joint should not be a problem if the threads are kept clean. The clear benefit to the eyedropper is it restores larger ink volume than any other fillers. Wancher eyedropper could take the ink up to 4.0 ml, which is significant compared to the 0.5ml that most converter filled pens will hold.
