War Of 1812 U.s. Regiment Of Infantry Officer Coat Button Sheffield Silver For SaleGreetings, button collectors. I am now parting with the bulk of my personal collection. This is the result of twenty years of serious collecting. My interest has been in U.S. regular army buttons circa 1787-1848. If you are interested, the small handful of buttons seen in each item gallery will be available for a Buy-It-Now of $3,000, take it or leave it. Aside from that I am only keeping the buttons I relic-hunted myself. The buttons I will be listing over the next two weeks are in many cases not upgradeable. There is on these sales! Good luck, happy collecting and thank you for viewing my offerings.
This lot consists of one uniform button. If you want one specimen of an Infantry Officer button from the War of 1812, this specimen would suffice as the centerpiece for your collection. This nondug mint condition early U.S. silver coin-pattern button is an uncommon die pattern with a really cool " TREBLE PLATED " back mark with a snake-like eagle. The button diameter is 23 mm.
